Ameeramac Books Inroduces The Story of Jacqueline. A New Series of Children’s Books Teaches Tolerance, Compassion and Self-Love Through a 7--Year-Old’s Eyes. Just in time for the holidays and new year, Ameeramac Books introduces today a new series of children’s books that strive to teach tolerance and self-love to young children growing up in an increasingly complex world. The first of many books to come, The Story of Jacqueline is told through the eyes of a 7-year-old African-American girl who, accompanied by her autistic younger brother, Christian, embarks on a quest to tackle one of today’s most important contemporary issues, answering the age-old question, Who am I? The young characters featured in my books will take readers with them as they learn to overcome many of the obstacles children face as they mature, while also encouraging them to view life as a journey of lessons to be cherished,” says Sabine Faustin, the books’ author. Ms. Faustin, a single mother, residing in Brooklyn, New York, has managed to prosper as a Stenographer for 12 years, but has always had a passion for writing. I feel that there is a story inside of everyone, waiting to be told, and I would like Ameeramac Books to be the voice of those stories, says Ms. Faustin. The characters featured in The Story of Jacqueline are based on her own two children, Jacqueline, a precocious little girl who is growing up almost too fast, and Christian, who actually is autistic in real life, but while remaining limited in a number of ways can still manage to annoy his sister to no end. Ms. Faustin’s characters will make her readers laugh as they display their unique and special qualities, but will also manage to reveal how much they are like many of the children that can be found around the world, every day. In a time where technology allows children to access information and other people from different backgrounds with the simple click of a button, these books’ will tackle themes that celebrate multiculturalism and diversity, and also explore the beauty of having tolerance for those who are mentally, physically and/or emotionally challenged. The Story of Jacqueline, shortly to be followed by, The Story of Christian, and The Story of Mommy, are targeted towards children ages three to eight (3-8 yrs.) and can be purchased online for $9.95 each at www.ameeramacbooks.com. I am committed to teaching my children to see the beauty and worth in themselves and every person that they encounter, says Ms. Faustin. It is my hope that these books will allow everyone to enjoy laughing at themselves, but more importantly it is my desire to write books that will cultivate the self-esteem and self-worth that is present in every child. Ameeramac Books is committed to making a positive impact on the world of children today.
